Hi, my name is Alies

I am originally from the Netherlands and since April 2021, I have been living in Hungary, where Oázis Tanya has become my home.

I enjoy life here in the midst of nature, together with my friend John. I love taking walks with the dogs Barát and Kaya, cuddling with my kitten Kléo, taking naps in the sun, and swimming outdoors (especially under the stars). The Hungarian sun and the dark, quiet nights have captured our hearts.

I am happy when my creativity is challenged, and I appreciate good company just as much as the silence of being alone. Living outdoors and being able to share such a beautiful place as this has long been a dream of mine.

I am happy to help you with practical matters and information about your stay, and together with John and the (international) volunteers who are regularly at the campsite during the season, I gladly welcome new and returning guests, people of all ages, nature lovers, and seekers of peace and meaning in my little oasis.
