Pörkölt
Standard component of all festivities is the joint lunch (ebéd) at noon. And that’s always Pörkölt. Pörkölt is a Hungarian stew of beef or pork, chicken or lam, bell pepper and other vegetables. Usually enjoyed with some bread, gherkins or sweet pickles. Don’t confuse it with goulash, which is a soup. The traditional Hungarian stews: pörkölt, filled cabbage leaves, filled bell peppers and the traditional soup “Goulash” are seen as Hungary’s national specialties.
Usually after a small period of rest, the festivities continue in the early mornings with many performances. Museum ZsanaPörkölt
