We are Alies and Mark. We are from the Netherlands and since april 2021 we live in Hungary, being the proud owners of Oázis Tanya.

To our new guests we’d like to introduce ourselves:

Mark was born and raised in Amsterdam. A creative person and art lover, who is into classic photography, loves listening to music and ofcourse nature. For many years he worked as a chef in the (international) kitchen. He loves preparing delicious, fresh an (mostly) healthy food and enjoying it together, with a good glass of wine! Mark will cook for our guests on a regular base. Preferably with fresh herbs and vegetables straight out of our own garden.

Alies comes from the Dutch Hanseatic city called Kampen, where she used to work in the family business, and raised her three (now young adult) children. Before moving to Hungary, she had her own yoga studio for 11 years. She loves to walk through nature. She is happy when being creative and enjoys inspired conversations, good company as well as the silence of solitarity. Living outdoors and being a hostess at a beautiful place like this, has been her dream for a long time. Alies will help you with practical issues and information related to your stay and will also regularly provide outside yoga lessons!
